Since the Fall of man
God had a plan

Christ would save His elect
It was God who did select

In Bethlehem, Christ was born
One cold December morn

He was totally without any sin
Christ would be our propitiation

At Calvary Christ bled
For man, it was shed

At the world’s foundation
God chose the elect for salvation

We are justified by faith alone
We lose a heart of stone

We have a blessed hope you see
The Church shall be raptured suddenly

We’ll meet Christ in the sky
People left behind will wonder why

We’ll live with Christ on the new earth
Because He gave us a second birth

My salvation is secured
It’s God who ensures our salvation
Through Christ it is procured

Jesus is my Savior and Lord
He is returning to rapture His bride
I wield Scripture as my sword

At Calvary Christ bled
He bore God’s wrath
In Christ, we are fed

On the third day, He rose
He defeated sin, death, and Satan
We remember this with prose

Christ is our only Mediator
We shouldn’t pray to anyone else
We shall be with Him later

We are regenerated, you see
Next comes repentance
And faith totally

The Elect are born again
Due to predestination
Christ forgave all our sin

I set my sail
It caught a gale

The sky was black
Courage we did not lack

We traveled near and far
Navigated by a star

We sailed the seas
Waves brought me to my knees

We caught some king crab
I felt like Captain Ahab

Whales swam around us at night
It was such a delight

We headed back home
As I read a good tome

I’m struggling
With mental illness
Don’t have happiness

Every day
I’m down in the dumps
This isn’t for chumps

I suffer
Each day
I’m full of dismay

I have
No energy
I feel terribly

I long to have
A mind that’s whole
My illness takes a toll

I hear
Inner voices in my mind
Psychosis I find

Sometimes
I have many a delusion
And mental confusion

I lack
Motivation
It’s a bad situation

I love spring
It is a time
Of renewal
It’s so sublime

I admire
The tulips
And tiger lilies
I watch the ships

We celebrate Easter
When Christ died for us
We went from minus
To plus

On the third day
He rose from the dead
Christ is alive
His blood was shed

We are saved
By God’s unmerited grace
Christ died
For the human race

The Holy Spirit
Quickens our soul
We are born again
Christ makes us whole

Immanuel
God with us
Christ came
Because of love
He was incarnated
As both fully man
And fully divine
Born to Mary
A virgin
Christ is
Without any sin
He taught
Many things
Preaching
The Kingdom
Of God
He would break
The curse of sin
Since the Fall
Man has been
Tainted with sin
At Calvary
Christ suffered
For us
He bore God’s
Full wrath
Christ gave up
His spirit
On the third day
He rose from
The dead
He defeated sin
Death and Satan
He was a
Propitiation
A sacrifice
All our sin
Was imputed
To Christ
On the cross
And when
We are born again
We receive His
Perfect
Righteousness
Before God
Intervenes
We are
Spiritually dead
We who are the Elect
Are irresistibly
Drawn to God
By the Holy Spirit
This is monergistic
God is totally
Sovereign
Including
Our salvation
A spiritually dead
Person
Cannot choose God
In Christ
We are new creations

The law condemns us
Only a perfect
Righteousness
Could satisfy
The law’s demands
That is found
Solely
In the person
Jesus Christ
The law is
Our schoolmaster
We are saved
Through believing
The gospel
Faith comes
By hearing
Once we are saved
We will produce
Good fruit
That God provides
For us
God sanctifies us
So that we become
Ontologically holy
We are changed
Day by day
As we conform
To the image
Of Christ

When I was little
We went to
Our Gramma’s
And Pap Pap’s home
On Christmas Eve
On the drive over
We counted
And admired
All the houses
With Christmas
Lights
It was cold
Outside
Snow was falling
Gently
Our grandparents
Home
Was decorated
Beautifully
We had baked ham
And lots of other
Yummy foods
Then we relaxed
For a while
Next, we opened
Our gifts
There was a huge
Mountain of presents
We watched
Christmas movies
Then drove
Back home
The next day
Christmas morning
We ran downstairs
At 7am
And waited for
Mommy and Daddy
To wake up
Our tree
Was gorgeous
We each
Took turns
Opening the gifts
We had so many
Wonderful presents
These Christmas
Memories
I cherish

Easter is
A special time of year
We celebrate the gospel
Without any fear

We would travel
To our grandparents’ home
Our Gramma fed us so well
Baked ham, we did consume

We also ate a nut roll
And pierogi’s too
There was no yummy food
That we did eschew

Gramma showed her love
Through cooking over the years
She made me feel happy
So scrumptious her food was

We shared oplatki
Wishing each other well
Gramma’s ham was so delicious
I ate my fill

We rejoiced together
Christ’s victory
He is risen
Let us shout it loudly

We, the Elect, were chosen
At the world’s foundation
This is predestination

All born-again believers
In Christ are secure
Our salvation He did procure

Christ shall rule
The whole earth
He gives us a second birth

God selected us
Not based on any intrinsic quality
He died to set men free

We are saved through
Substitutionary atonement, you see
Christ died for us completely

All our sin
Was imputed to Him at Calvary
We received Christ’s righteousness totally

Thanks to Christ’s sacrifice
God forgave all our sin
Because of Christ’s propitiation
