I am a mighty grizzly bear
When people are near me, they feel fear

I am known to growl
When my mood is foul

I ate honey from a beehive
It helped me to survive

I can outrun, outswim, and outclimb
Human beings, it’s so sublime

When I stand up, I’m ten feet tall
Sometimes with other grizzlies, I brawl

I feed on salmon swimming upstream
In the forest, I reign supreme

I weigh seven hundred pounds
I can easily defeat a pack of hounds

In winter, I hibernate
When I wake up in spring, I feel great

Jesus has all authority
He alone sets man free

He is the first and last
Jesus saves us from our sinful past

He is our Redeemer
Jesus is our Lord and Savior

He is the Lamb
In Jesus’ presence, demons scram

He loves us with all His heart
Once regenerated, man has a fresh start

At Calvary, Jesus bled and died
At the foot of the cross, Mary cried

On the third day, Jesus rose
It is man whom God chose

By grace through faith we are saved
Our salvation is not merited

Once born again, we’re a new creation
The Holy Spirit indwells us, and we have elation

After we’re saved, we must repent all our days
May we grow in sanctification always

Mortification is key
We must deny our sin and from temptation flee

Our blessed hope is Jesus’ return to earth
Oh, what a glorious day full of mirth

Christ is our High Priest
He came to redeem the least

The natural man is a wretched sinner
Christ makes man a spiritual winner

All our sin was imputed to Him
It was not done on a whim

We receive Christ’s righteousness
We can have assurance we’re saved, with sureness

It’s man whom Christ saves
We are His slaves

Once regenerated, we are gifted faith and repentance
When we sin, we should do penance

At Calvary, Jesus paid the price for our sin
He was a propitiation

Christ is sinless in every way
His blood purchased our salvation on Good Friday

Christ descended into hell
He preached the gospel to every prisoner in a cell

On the third day, Easter Sunday
Jesus rose from the dead; His tomb was empty

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
From His presence you will never depart

I struggle with depression
I take medication

I’m in bed all day
I have little to say

I have no motivation
It’s a sad situation

I lay in bed like a beached whale
This is my sad tale

It is difficult being down in the dumps
Depression isn’t for chumps

I long to run and play
Instead, I’m full of dismay

One day I’ll be healed
My depression shall be repealed

Please say a prayer for me
It’s difficult to have such misery

I saw a crow
It yelled caw
It was the
Spring thaw

I walked
In Schenley Park
The differences between
Spring and winter were stark

Gone was
The snow
Now flowers
Began to grow

I walked
In the lush grass that’s green
Easter time
Would soon be seen

I saw
A peregrine falcon up high
It was beautiful
I looked up at the blue sky

The leaves are green
On the trees
I felt
A cool breeze

I saw
A monarch butterfly flew around me
On my shoulder
It I did see

Easter was
Getting near
A holy occasion
A special time of the year

Trust in Christ always
Do it for all your days

He is our Redeemer from sin
Christ was a propitiation

He is our closest friend
We’ll be with Jesus without end

The Holy Spirit is with us always
In our hearts, He stays

At Calvary on a cross Christ hung
His praises we have sung

He rose on the third day
Every demon Christ will slay

Man must be born again
Salvation we shall attain

We are born from above
Because of Jesus’ love

I stood in front of Christ
On the cross
His death seemed like a great loss

Death would not have
The last word
Christ would soon be heard

He descended
Into hell
Preaching the gospel, I can tell

On Easter Sunday, the third day
Christ rose from the dead
Man is saved by every word He said

He defeated death
Satan and sin
He was for man a propitiation

We, the elect, through faith alone
Have justification
God prepares works for our sanctification

Regeneration precedes faith
Man must be born again
Salvation we attain

We must have Christ as Savior and Lord
Every day, we must mortify our flesh
We who are in Christ are new creations and fresh

Christ redeems the sons of earth
He gives them a second birth

We must follow Sola Scriptura
God’s Word will restore ya

We, the elect, are born again
God gives us power over sin

Faith comes by hearing
It is God we should be fearing

In Christ, we are a new creation
We have no need for trepidation

By faith alone we are justified
Our flesh must be mortified

Scripture is our infallible authority
Christ died to set man free

God made good works for us
Sanctification takes us from minus to plus

Christ is the God-Man
Fully divine and fully man

At Calvary, we were redeemed, you see

It’s a special time of the year
Full of yuletide cheer

I received many a gift
My mood did lift

I kissed under the mistletoe
Outside, it began to snow

I’m thankful to Christ for being born
One cold December morn

He came to save man
Christ followed God’s plan

We should remember that Jesus is the reason
For the Christmas season

My sister Vi and I decorated our Christmas tree
It was a thing of beauty

Colored lights galore
And ornaments we adore

We ate fruitcake and plum pudding, too
There is no delectable food we eschew

We ate baked ham, fresh kielbasa, and pierogi
Also, we had halushki and a salad of macaroni

Vi decorates our home with many Christmas things
She knows the happiness it brings

Let there be peace on earth and goodwill to all men
All God’s people say amen
