Was lost in man
With the Fall
Every person
Is born
Tainted
With original sin
We are wretched
Sinners
Satan’s children
God chose who
Would be born again
We are redeemed
Through
Sovereign grace
We are saved
By grace alone
Through
Faith alone
In Christ alone
According to
Scripture alone
For the glory
Of God alone
Biblical theology
Is Reformed
Our soteriology
Is key
We are born
Totally depraved
Our election is
Unconditional
It does not
Depend
On any quality
Or merit of man
Christ’s atonement
Was limited
He died solely
For His elect
We are saved
By irresistible
Grace
God takes
A dead soul
And quickens life
We affirm
The perseverance
Of the saints
Those who are
Regenerated
Cannot lose
Their salvation
God takes
A stone heart
And replaces it
With a heart
Of flesh
We receive
A new nature
When we are saved
Regeneration
Precedes faith
We are gifted
Sincere repentance
And faith
When our soul
Is quickened
By the
Holy Spirit

The sun
Shines bright
The fields
They are covered in white

Snow crystals
Are gleaming
Like millions
Of diamonds glittering

It’s a winter
Wonderland
I pick up some snow
In my hand

Today is the day
When Christ was born
On a cold
Winter morn

Snow reminds us
Of God’s love
When regenerated
We are born from above

Though our sins are crimson
God makes us white as snow
No longer are we
Filled with despair and woe

I walk
In the autumn
Deep into
Schenley park
Above me
A canopy
Of many
Colors
The leaves
Crunch
Satisfyingly
Under foot
I hear
Beautiful
Bird songs
Green moss
Covers
The mighty
Trees
I see
Chipmunks
In the
Stone wall
A cool breeze
Blows on me
Above I spot
A peregrine
Falcon
Squirrels
With red
Bushy tails
Scurry past me
It starts
Raining
I welcome
The cold
Rain
I feel alive
I head
Back home
I fall asleep
And dream
Of the park

I have chronic fatigue
And overwhelming lethargy
What I truly need
Is some rejuvenating energy

I lay in bed
Like a beached whale
Please listen
To my sad tale

I languish each day
I feel like a prisoner
Trapped in my body
I don’t feel like an achiever

I long to run around
And play
It doesn’t look like
I can do it today

I am very
Lackadaisical
My problems
Are psychological

Frequently I feel
Down in the dumps
I fight every day
And take my lumps

Our Redeemer is
Christ the Lord
For us, much suffering
He endured

He was brutally
Scourged
His body was beaten
Christ’s blood surged

He carried the heavy
Wooden cross to Golgotha
His mother Mary
Was in hysteria

Jesus hung on the cross
For six hours
He gave up His spirit
By his own powers

Christ descended
Into hell
He preached to the captives
Jesus proclaimed the gospel

On the third day
Christ rose from the tomb
He proved He was divine
He is our Bridegroom

So repent
And trust in Christ today
For salvation, He is
The only Way

I am on the prowl
For some tasty fowl

I will eat it up
I’m a hungry pup

I want a baked ham
And some roasted lamb

Please give me a juicy steak
And some chicken Shake ‘n Bake

I need some pork chops
Shrimp is the tops

A bowl of chili would be great
It is first-rate

I’ll have a pizza pie
I want a sandwich of pastrami and rye

A roasted turkey can’t be beat
Homemade pretzels are a treat

I want some watermelon for sure
When I’m sick, chicken soup is the cure

I’ll dine on a lobster tail
I want a nicely cooked quail

The Catholic church
Is in retreat
It shall soon
Taste defeat

The sacraments
Can’t save at all
What matters is
The effectual call

Salvation
Is not synergistic
It is strictly
Monergistic

The true Gospel was anathematized
At the Council of Trent
Catholics need to receive
Saving faith and sincerely repent

Being born again
Is what Christ declares we must be
Once we are
We’re totally spiritually free

Catholics pray in vain
To Mary and the saints
This worship is due to God alone
We are bound by Scriptural restraints

Infant baptism
Is unbiblical completely
Believer’s baptism is the truth
Baptism doesn’t regenerate; it is heresy

The Catholic pope
Is not Christ’s vicar
He is a regular
Sinner

I like
To think
When I’m on
The brink

I have many
A thought
My mind
Gets hot

I want fresh air
I like to run
And play
In the sun

I will go to the zoo
And laugh
At the lonely
Giraffe

I have a
Defective brain
Until I get a new one
I’ll remain insane

I will howl
At the moon
And visit India
During the monsoon

I have many dreams
I want to succeed
I am a teetotaler
So for me, no mead

I feel down
In the dumps
Severe mental illness
It isn’t for chumps

I am utterly fatigued
With no energy
I lie in bed like a beached whale
I wish I were fancy free

I lack motivation
To do anything
I hope for peace
That only Christ can bring

I take many medications
To treat my broken mind
I pray for healing
The demons I bind

I have anxiety
It vexes me so much
My mental illness
Christ can crush

I experience
Many a hallucination
Often, they disturb me
Were they due to predestination

I also have
Delusions
They are unwelcome
Intrusions

Someday I will have
A new mind
Until then, it’s peace
I want to find
