Christ followed the Father’s plan
Thus came the Son of Man

He incarnated on earth
To give man a second birth

Born of a virgin Mary
It was God Almighty

He would set the captives free
Christ did it for you and me

On the cross, He hung
His praises we have sung

He bled for us
We went from minus to plus

Christ rose on the third day
This is cause for joy

Now we are God’s children
Our souls the Holy Spirit did quicken

Christ’s love shone
On my heart of stone

I was overjoyed to have salvation
I was full of elation

Christ paid the price for all my sin
He was a propitiation

No longer was I totally depraved
Hallelujah – I was now saved

Because of His strong grip on me
My salvation is assured certainly

A time of renewal and new life
It marks the end of winter’s strife

Bears wake up from hibernation
These majestic creatures roam our nation

Tulips and tiger lilies bloom
They make the air smell like a sweet perfume

Trees are covered in leaves of green
Christ has washed my soul clean

I walk barefoot in the cool grass so lush
It’s very plush

The weather is warm with a cool breeze
I see across the field bunnies

I have mental anguish
The pain is unending
Oh how I’m lamenting

My mind isn’t whole
I have mental illness
This disease is vicious

Somedays I’m fine
Yet many days I struggle
My sanity is in trouble

I try to remain calm
I get help from medication
Sometimes I have elation

I often experience
Delusions and hallucinations
It’s my mind’s machinations

One day Christ will heal me
I’ll carry this cross until then
I don’t know when

I walk alone
Darkness
Envelops me
Searching for
Eternal life
Ahead of me
I spot
A brilliant
White light
A figure
Emerges
It is Christ
The Lord
He pulls me
Into the light
I feel
Total peace
My broken mind
Is healed
I live for Him

My life yields
The fruit of the Spirit
You can see it and hear it

I’m saved because of Christ’s
Firm grip on me
My salvation is a guarantee

I have surety of
My spiritual state
Because of the Lord Jesus, so great

I run the race
To the end
With Vi my best friend

We shall finish strong
Though we may stumble and fall
We received the effectual call

Oh, the sweetest of gifts
The knowledge I can be sure
Makes my spirit soar

I drank a root beer
It made me feel queer

I looked out my window
And saw a weeping willow

I ran down the street
My happiness was complete

I laughed and cried
My emotions I couldn’t hide

I think my mind isn’t whole
For me, I’m living on the dole

I travel across space and time
Soaring at light speed is sublime

I think I will take a long nap
Thanks to Christ I’m a good chap

In the bleak blackness of space
We were condemned
The human race

Plunged into darkness
By Adam’s fall
We were faithless

But out of a love so deep
Christ came as a man
The Good Shepherd of us sheep

He died in our place
But the grave could not hold Him
Christ touched us with grace

On the third day, He rose
He defeated sin, death, and Satan
Christ redeems all that the Father chose

I am swimming
In a black ocean
The tumultuous waves
Wash over me
I gasp for breath
Then Christ appears
Standing on the water
He beckons me
With His outstretched hand
I grab it
Instantly I am transported
To a warm sandy beach
I am alive

I once was blind; in darkness
But now I have sight
I’m living in the Light

I was a troubled soul
Drowning in a stormy sea
Then Christ rescued me

I was a lowly wretch
Full of sin
I needed a propitiation

He is sinless
Christ the King
May I praise Him while I sing

The God-Man
Came to earth
So man might have second birth

At Calvary
Christ bled
He died in our stead

On the third day
He rose from death to life
We the Church are His Wife

Christ is coming again
He will judge all of humanity
Faith in Him alone will set us free
