• Halloween 2024

    No trick-or-treaters came
    Oh what a shame

I had chili and Taco Bell
    It sure was swell

Mommy and I listened to tunes
    Coldplay and the Moody Blues

Vi and I had a nice chat
We want a Maine Coon cat

    I celebrated Reformation Day
    Posting memes without delay

    It was unseasonably warm
The weather still had a charm

  • Happy Reformation Day

Today is October 31st, 2024. It marks 507 years since the Roman Catholic Augustinian friar, Martin Luther, nailed his 95 theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Looking back, historians recognize this day as the catalyst for the Protestant Reformation.

The Reformation was not a revolution. It sought to reform the existing Roman Catholic church. When that became impossible, the Protestant Church was formed.

The Reformation was a return to the sound doctrine of Scripture, that had been obscured and neglected in the prior centuries.

To ensure we follow Scripture as our basis for doctrine and praxis, the principle of Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone as our highest authority) is essential to safeguard sound doctrine. We reject the fallible traditions of men which have accumulated in the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches.

    Our doctrine is truly apostolic.

  • Halloween

    Trick or treat
    Friendly ghosts we’ll soon meet

A spider hangs from the ceiling
    I have the Halloween feeling

A maniacal goblin I spied tonight
    It caused quite a fright

    Carved pumpkins are aglow
    They are quite the show

A black cat crossed my path
I don’t want to feel its wrath

  • Christmas Magic

    It’s that special time
    Of the year
    When people are jolly
    And full of good cheer

    Angels hang from
    Each street light
    They are lit up
    By bulbs of white

    In the midst
    Of our Christmas mirth
    Let us remember that
Christ gives us a second birth

    The Christmas tree
    It is decorated so nice
    It was worth
    The price

    We’ll sip hot cocoa
    And feast on baked ham
    Giving thanks
    For the Lamb

    Christmas movies
    Are always a treat
    “It’s A Wonderful Life”
    Can’t be beat

  • My Life

    Lifting my arm
    It is a difficult task
    I suffer from fatigue
    I wear a sorrowful mask

    I have fibromyalgia pain
    All over my body
    My physical health
    Is rather shoddy

    I suffer from
    Spinal stenosis
    As well as
    Acute psychosis

    I have
    Major depression
    It’s a real challenge
    I take psychiatric medication

    I also have anxiety
    It is no fun
    My mind is constantly
    On the run

    Racing intrusive thoughts
    Plague me
    Someday I will
    Be totally free

  • Much to My Dismay

I sip an iced green tea
    It’s very tasty

    It has ginseng and honey
    It was worth the money

    I lay in bed all-day
I long to laugh and play

    I dream of Camelot
    It’s there that I fought

My armor gleaming in the sun
    I am the chosen one

    I snore very loud
    It makes me proud

    Someday I’ll be healed
Until then my fate is sealed

  • True Doctrine

Jesus personally anointed and ordained me in late autumn, in the year 2001. Since then, the Holy Spirit has led me into all truth. I now possess infallible doctrine. Here are a few teachings you should follow:

    • Infant baptism is unbiblical
    • Paedo-communion is unbiblical
    • Real Presence in communion is unbiblical
    • Sacramental theology is unbiblical
    • The Catholic mass and Orthodox divine liturgy are unbiblical
    • Synergistic salvation is unbiblical
    • Arminian soteriology is unbiblical
    • Amillennialism and Postmillenniallism are unbiblical
    • Replacement theology is unbiblical
    • Covenant theology is unbiblical

    This is absolute truth.

  • Always Reforming

Sadly, my experience with the Reformed is that most of them exist in a bubble, and dare not think outside their confessional strictures. Like myself, a truly Reformed person affirms the normative principle of worship, not the overly restrictive regulative principle.

Reformed have made no progress in eschatology since the 1600s. Biblical theology is premillennial and affirms a pretribulation rapture of the Church.

I’ve observed many Reformed who have made their Reformed confessions into idols. These idols are placed above the word of God!

I also take issue with most Reformed churches’ hermeneutics which favor interpreting the Old Testament in light of the New Testament, and the so-called NT Priority. I favor the grammatical-historical-literal hermeneutic. It’s also very sad that most Reformed affirm covenant theology. CT is not biblical. If we rightly handle the Word of God we will adopt a dispensational theology.

Due to the strict formalism of Reformed theology, which was produced using faulty hermeneutics, there is often no room for the work of the Spirit. One of the issues is replacement theology whereby the promises made to Israel are fulfilled in the Church, rather than being fulfilled literally in the case of Israel.

We must teach the whole counsel of God. Too often Reformed adherents will engage in eisegesis because of their faulty hermeneutics which make them believe things which disharmonize with the whole of Scripture.

May we be always reforming, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

    SEMPER REFORMANDA.

  • Stuck in A Rut

    I’m in a deep malaise
    It usually lasts for days

Oh how I long to get up
    I’m a sick pup

    I lack motivation
    It’s quite an irritation

I have no interest in activities
I’m a ship adrift in the seas

    Energy I do lack
    I want my childhood back

  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ

    Jesus paid it all
    We receive
    The effectual call

    He was born
    On Christmas Day
    Early in the morn

    Jesus had no sin
    He is the God-Man
    He was a propitiation

    At Calvary
    Jesus gave up his life
He died to set men free

    He descended to Hell
    And released the captives
    Defeating the death knell

    His perfect righteousness
    We receive
Our sins were imputed to Jesus

    We were predestined
    Before the world’s foundation
    To be regenerated

    We must be born again
The Holy Spirit quickens our soul
    Repentance and faith we gain
