Headcovering for Christian Women
For nearly 2,000 years, from the time of Christ, until the 1960s, it was the universal practice of the Christian churches for women to headcover.
Sadly, with the destruction unleashed upon society by the Satanic feminist movement in the later half of the 1960s, head covering for women was largely abandoned. The so-called sexual revolution of the 1960s was absolutely wicked and brought about the destruction of many families.
A Christian woman who headcovers is displaying her obedience to God, as well as showing she submits to both God’s authority, as well as her husband’s God-given authority!

Gentle and Lowly: Unbiblical
In the book Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers by Dane Ortlund. He portrays a meek and mild Christ.
The book is aimed at Christians suffering from discouragement and depression. Ortlund asserts (based on a single sentence by Christ) that Jesus is fundamentally gentle and lowly in His essence.
The biblical Christ is tough and mighty. He will be returning as the fearsome Lion of Judah.
Ortlund’s Christ is divorced from His biblical attributes. He overemphasizes one aspect of Christ, and asserts that aspect is fundamental and who Christ truly is at the core. This is eisegesis.
Ortlund promotes an insipid, weak, feminine, and milquetoast hippie Christ.
It teaches the false doctrine that some of God’s attributes are more essentially His nature than others, and those attributes which are most essential are gentleness and lowliness.

Charles Finney and His Legacy
Charles Finney was an evangelist in the 19th century, who preached the revivalist circuit in America. He became very popular, as did the altar call (which he invented) and the so-called sinner’s prayer whereby a person “accepts Jesus into their heart”.
The problem with Finney (and the churches that came after him) is that they place salvation in the hands of mankind (synergism), instead of the biblical model of salvation, which is totally the work of God (monergism).
The natural man is dead in his sins, and God must quicken his soul and give him the twin gifts of repentance and faith. A spiritually dead man cannot “accept Jesus”.
Finney was a heretic. He denied that mankind has a sinful nature inherited from Adam. He also taught sinless perfectionism, the doctrine that man could stop sinning totally.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8
Finney’s decisional regeneration is a false doctrine. The biblical model of salvation is predestination and election via God’s sovereign grace. A sinner sincerely repents of their sin and believes the biblical gospel.
The legacy of Finney is numerous Arminian churches.

America: Once a Bastion of the Reformed – Now Apostate
In 1793, 956 out of 1,032 baptist churches in America were calvinistic. This equates to 93%. A 2012 Lifeway poll of SBC pastors found that of 1,066 SBC pastors, 30% said their churches were calvinistic.
One of the foremost constitutional theorists of the founding generation, John Adams, observed, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” He wasn’t the only Founding Father to hold this view. Indeed, James Madison wrote that our Constitution requires “sufficient virtue among men for self-government,” otherwise, “nothing less than the chains of despotism can restrain them from destroying and devouring one another.”
A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats!
Spurgeon
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
2 Timothy 4:3-4
Sadly, over time, many churches drifted away from their calvinistic/Reformed roots, and became steeped in apostasy. Whether it be the false prosperity gospel of health and wealth, the Word of Faith false gospel of name it and claim it, or even the heresy of Federal Vision or the so-called New Perspective on Paul, which took hold in many Reformed churches.
As a whole, the American church is apostate.
We need a Reformed theocracy! We should forbid any non-Reformed to live in America. We should enforce the biblical law!

Sayings on the Cross
The 7 utterances of Jesus on the cross were:
- His prayer to God in behalf of His tormentors (Matthew 23:34);
- His reply to the dying thief (Luke 23:39-43);
- He requested the disciple whom He loved to take care of His mother (John 19:25-27);
- He prayed to God, asking why He had been forsaken (Matthew 27:45-47);
- He said that He was thirsty (John 19:28);
- He declared that it was finished (John 19:30);
- He commended His Spirit into the hands of His Father (Luke 23:46).

The Reformers and Anabaptists
Sadly, Reformers Martin Luther and John Calvin both advocated for the murder of those who differed in doctrine such as the Anabaptists.
It’s ironic that Luther, who the Catholic church wanted to murder for his differing doctrine, would himself advocate similarly for the murder of the Anabaptists whom he detested.
Luther favored infant baptism, and not only that he affirmed baptismal regeneration – the doctrine that the act of water baptism (which is a work) is itself salvific.
Calvin likewise affirmed infant baptism as being biblical and he called for the state to execute those who differed on this point of doctrine.
We must not judge too harshly, those who lived in the time of the Reformers, using modern sensibilities. During their time there was no separation between church and state. Having said that, advocating for the murder of dissidents was clearly sinful.

Single Reformed Women: Some Anecdotal Evidence of Feminist Influence

I can affirm this! I’ve seen the exact thing regarding “Reformed” women for the past 10 years.
I’ve been a member of some Reformed singles groups, and once biblical womanhood and the patriarchal order of society were mentioned these women would start pushing back hard claiming they have freedom in Christ to have full-time careers, etc. It was very discouraging. They sounded just like the feminists of the world. By the way, nearly all of them identified as complementarians, even though their talking points and attitudes fit squarely in the egalitarian camp. This is why I find patriarchy to be biblical and complementarianism to be unbiblical!
Nothing makes these women get their dander up like a Reformed man saying it is biblical for his future wife to submit to his God-given authority!
It saddens me that older Reformed women (especially these women’s mothers and grandmothers) are not raising up their daughters properly and in line with Scripture.
This perfectly illustrates how completely feminism has infected all strata of society, even the Church!!

Eastern Orthodoxy and Scripture
Unlike us Reformed Protestants, the Eastern Orthodox (EO) place their phronema (collective consensus over time), which is merely the fallible traditions of men, to a place of preeminence. This is an extremely dangerous position to be in. The EO do not have the corrective force of Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone) to guide and safeguard their church from false doctrine. Sola Scriptura is vital to having purity and verity of doctrine.
The Orthodox perspective is much more experiential than rational, and they focus on the hierarchy and of the church as both the source of theology and the way to understand it. Correct doctrine is far less important to the EO than actively participating in the ritual life of the church.
