The End Times can seem scary
Let God not tarry

The Church will be taken away
The unregenerate shall stay

The glorious rapture is pure truth
It will happen forsooth

We’ll meet Christ in the air
Of the wicked none shall He spare

The Lamb’s marriage supper shall commence
On earth will be the Holy Spirit’s absence

After seven years of heavenly mirth
We’ll return with Christ to earth

Christ shall rule the millennial kingdom
It will be more glorious than you can fathom

Next is the new heaven and new earth
It is only for those given second-birth

I was on
A pure white steed
For war, I had a need

We were fighting
The Saracens in the Holy Land
With my men, we took a stand

We had a huge army
To retake the land for the Lord
I gave the call then raised my sword

We nuked the cities
Where the Saracens did dwell
We killed them all and sent them to hell

Finally in Jerusalem
We celebrated our total victory
We made history

Nature cries out
With evidence
For the Creator
The proof
Is clear
There is no reason
To fear
Light out of darkness
Jesus is the Light
Of the world
He is the Good Shepherd
Who receives all
That His Father
Has given him
We are
Wretched sinners
Sinning constantly
As wicked as a devil
Yet Christ loved us
So much that He died
For our abominable sins
This precious
Sinless Lamb of God
He bore God’s
Full wrath
He gave up His Spirit
At Calvary
He was buried
But the grave
Could not hold Him
On the third day
He rose
This was the most
Significant event
In human history
He proved He was
Fully God
And fully man
Jesus defeated
Death, sin, and Satan
We come to faith
Through the
Effectual calling
Scripture penetrates
Our hearts
And the Holy Spirit
Quickens our dead souls
We are now alive
Spiritually
We are
New creations
When Scripture
Enters our minds
We repent sincerely
And believe the gospel
These twin gifts
Are from God
Thus regeneration
Precedes faith
We who are born again
Now have the power
Of Christ in us
Our sins were
Imputed to Him
On the cross
When we are made alive
Spiritually
Christ’s perfect
Righteousness
Is imputed to us
God no longer
Views us as sinners
He sees us as
His children
Through adoption
Unblemished

Great is our sin
But greater
Is our Redeemer’s love
Christ was our propitiation

Our flesh
Has a stronghold
But in Christ
We are spotless and fresh

We may have health issues
God can heal us
We must keep spreading
The Good News

We may be slandered by men
But our Lord will defend us
We the Prodigal Son
Welcomed home from the pigpen

Our Lord is the King of Kings
He is the Alpha and Omega
His Kingdom shall have no end
The angel His praises sings

I am lame
I can’t play life’s game

My mind is broken
Sometimes I feel God forsaken

I am a cripple
I am uncomprehensible

I have racing thoughts
They bother me lots

I have intrusive voices
My mind is in pieces

I have terrible hallucinations
Due to my mental machinations

I long to be whole
But that isn’t my role

I am often depressed
I’m frequently stressed

I have many a deep-seated delusion
Reality is just an illusion

I will be healed one day
Until then I pray

To be with Christ forever
Is my hope in stormy weather

I shall finally be whole
And saved from Sheol

I have the mind of Christ you see
It saves me from much misery

Christ was born
In a humble stable
This was no fable

Gloria in excelsis Deo
The living Word of God Almighty
The Logos would be our remedy

Our federal head Adam
Fell into sin
Mankind needed a propitiation

Jesus was sinless
The Lamb of God would die
God’s wrath He would satisfy

The grave could not hold Christ
On the third day, He rose
It is us the elect whom God chose

When the Holy Spirit
Quickens our soul
We are regenerated in full

Next, we receive the twin gifts
Of faith and repentance
Of our salvation we have assurance

We must mortify our flesh
It’s so sinful
Our bodies are wretchful

Rejoice
Christ was born today
In a humble manger far away

In David’s city of Bethlehem
He was born to a virgin Mary
The Son of God came as a baby

Angels sung praise
As Jesus slept
His love we who are saved accept

Jesus grew
Into a strong man
He would follow the Father’s plan

Christ the Son of Man
He healed the sick instantly
He can do the same for you and me

Jesus did many miracles
He walked on water without a fault
Peter did too until he had doubt

He raised Lazarus from death to life
Christ cast out demons from men
This fact has never been forgotten

At Calvary, He suffered and died
Christ bore God’s full wrath for our sin
He was our propitiation

On the third day
He rose from the dead
We are saved by Christ’s bloodshed

We are chosen by God
Predestined to salvation
This is cause for our elation

We can never lose our elect status
If we have been regenerated
Our souls are no longer degenerated

One day we will have glorified bodies
We’ll live with Jesus on the new earth
All of this is because of the new birth

I went for a walk
It was a sunny spring day
The warmth from the sun
Made me feel at ease
There was a cool wind blowing
All around me
It was very refreshing
I stepped into
The enchanted woods
Mighty oak trees
Towered above me
I walked past maple trees
Birds sang together in harmony
Such sweet melodies
I spied toads
Running under fallen tree limbs
A lone bunny raced past me
The trees were so abundant
And so densely packed together
They made a green canopy
I took a nap
While sitting under a tree
I dreamed of Eden
When God walked with man
I contemplated
The tree Christ hung on
When He alone paid the price
For our sins
I love spending time
In nature
It is good
For my mental health
I walked back home
This was a day
I will not forget

Immanuel, God is with us
He who is faultless

Christ came as a helpless babe
So hell man could escape

The incarnation of God as a man
Was all according to the Father’s plan

Fully human and fully divine
Christ came from David’s bloodline

He was born to the Virgin Mary
Give Christ all the glory

Christ came from above
Because of love

He died on a tree
To set mankind free

Mankind was spiritually dead
And full of dread

But our Redeemer came to earth
So men could have a second birth

The Holy Spirit quickens our soul
We won’t go to Sheol

We are a new creation
And full of elation

Mankind is born again
No longer a prisoner to sin

We shall glorify God all the time
This is truly sublime
