The Way
I walk alone
Darkness
Envelops me
Searching for
Eternal life
Ahead of me
I spot
A brilliant
White light
A figure
Emerges
It is Christ
The Lord
He pulls me
Into the light
I feel
Total peace
My broken mind
Is healed
I live for Himby Zachary Uram

Assurance of Salvation
My life yields
The fruit of the Spirit
You can see it and hear itI’m saved because of Christ’s
Firm grip on me
My salvation is a guaranteeI have surety of
My spiritual state
Because of the Lord Jesus, so greatI run the race
To the end
With Vi my best friendWe shall finish strong
Though we may stumble and fall
We received the effectual callOh, the sweetest of gifts
The knowledge I can be sure
Makes my spirit soarby Zachary Uram

A Snapshot of My Life
I drank a root beer
It made me feel queerI looked out my window
And saw a weeping willowI ran down the street
My happiness was completeI laughed and cried
My emotions I couldn’t hideI think my mind isn’t whole
For me, I’m living on the doleI travel across space and time
Soaring at light speed is sublimeI think I will take a long nap
Thanks to Christ I’m a good chapby Zachary Uram

Christ the Light
In the bleak blackness of space
We were condemned
The human racePlunged into darkness
By Adam’s fall
We were faithlessBut out of a love so deep
Christ came as a man
The Good Shepherd of us sheepHe died in our place
But the grave could not hold Him
Christ touched us with graceOn the third day, He rose
He defeated sin, death, and Satan
Christ redeems all that the Father choseby Zachary Uram

Lost At Sea: A Metaphor for Salvation
I am swimming
In a black ocean
The tumultuous waves
Wash over me
I gasp for breath
Then Christ appears
Standing on the water
He beckons me
With His outstretched hand
I grab it
Instantly I am transported
To a warm sandy beach
I am aliveby Zachary Uram

Alive in Christ
I once was blind; in darkness
But now I have sight
I’m living in the LightI was a troubled soul
Drowning in a stormy sea
Then Christ rescued meI was a lowly wretch
Full of sin
I needed a propitiationHe is sinless
Christ the King
May I praise Him while I singThe God-Man
Came to earth
So man might have second birthAt Calvary
Christ bled
He died in our steadOn the third day
He rose from death to life
We the Church are His WifeChrist is coming again
He will judge all of humanity
Faith in Him alone will set us freeby Zachary Uram

The Final Frontier
I set off
For the stars
I walked and ran
And used many carsFinally, I boarded
A rocket to leave earth
I was ecstatic
And full of mirthIgnition, liftoff
My craft did shake
A momentous journey
I would soon takeThree, two, one
Thrusters online
I was feeling
Rather fineI was now in
Outer space
Starlight fell
On my faceI orbited
The globe
Mysteries
I would probeI did experiments
And fixed a satellite
I was amazed by the vastness
Of space within my sightFinally
I would go home
Space I would
No longer roamby Zachary Uram

Bald Eagles
The mighty bald eagle
Must use his wits
To get food for his chicks
He carefully targetsThe rabbit is
Its prey
The eagle swoops down
Capturing without delayThe eagle’s chicks
Are enjoying the rabbit meat
They gobble it down
Such a tasty treatThe nest is
One hundred feet high
Hanging off a mountain
It touches the skyBald eagles have
Amazing eyesight
They can spot prey
Even in low lightSuch a majestic creature
It is strong

The Last Trumpet
The trumpet
Shall sound
What happens next
Is very profoundThe dead in Christ
Shall rise
They shall fill
Up the skiesNext, believers
Will be caught up
Our glorified bodies
Will developWe shall be with Christ
For eternity
With our own eyes
Him will we shall seeThe Church will attend
The marriage supper
Of the Lamb
We shall no longer sufferby Zachary Uram
