My Day in The Snow

I awoke
To a landscape of white
It snowed
All day and nightA winter wonderland
Was before my eyes
The snow seemed
To reach the skiesWith my trusty snow shoes
I set out on a trek
I heard a woodpecker
On the oak tree, it did peckBitter cold air
Stung my lung
I felt alive
Caught a snowflake on my tongueThe snow shimmered
Under morning light
It was a dazzling display
Quite the sightA white Christmas
We had this year
I love this season
Of peace and good cheerby Zachary Uram

Feeling Blue
It’s raining today
I am depressed
Full of dismay
I won’t get dressedI feel glum
I’m down in the dumps
I’ll chat with Vi my chum
I’ll have to take my lumpsI hate being blue
I have no energy
Bad thoughts I eschew
I’m full of lethargyI wish to run and play
I’m stuck here in bed
I want to be gay
I’m totally lethargic insteadby Zachary Uram

A Gospel Proclamation
Behold
The King of the Jews
I proclaim the Gospel
It is Good NewsMan was mired in sin
He needed to be reconciled
To an all-holy and all-righteous God
He needed a Savior undefiledChrist was born
Of a virgin so pure
His path
Was sureHe would save mankind
By sovereign grace alone
Of all the people
Only Christ could atoneAt Calvary
He paid the price
Christ was not guilty
Of any viceOn the third day
He rose
Christ was resurrected
His divinity showsby Zachary Uram

Gospel Meditations
We are born into sin
But Christ was
Our propitiationHe was our sinless
Sacrifice
Our Lord so graciousWe have a mighty Redeemer
Christ the Messiah
He sent us the ComforterWe are regenerated
Before we have the gift of faith
Our souls are quickenedWe become a new creation
We are spiritually alive
This is a reason for elationWe must grow in sanctification
Mortifying the flesh each day
We will do it until glorificationby Zachary Uram

Our Hope Is in Christ
Oh glorious victory
Which Christ has won
Our precious Redeemer
God’s SonHe paid the price
For all our sin
He was our dear
PropitiationAt Calvary
Christ hung
He was only 33
Years youngHe descended into hell
Christ set the captives free
He can do the same
For you and meThe grave couldn’t hold Him
On the third day, Christ rose
No longer
Did He lay in reposeChrist is alive
Let the angels sing
He alone
Is our Kingby Zachary Uram

Dr. Greg Bahnsen’s Seminary Level Lectures on Presuppositional Apologetics

The late Dr. Greg Bahnsen was a student of the father of Presuppositional Apologetics, Dr. Cornelius Van Til.
Bahnsen has impacted my own apologetics methodology the most than any other apologist.
This is the description of the course on Bahnsen Institute’s page:
Dr. Bahnsen delivered this seminary-level course in Brooklyn, NY in 1995, the 100th anniversary of the birth of his beloved mentor, Cornelius Van Til. It represents his most mature teaching on the subject of apologetics. This is a great place to start for those wanting a more in-depth study of the defense of the faith. This course is more advanced than the “Introduction to Apologetics” and “Mid-Level Apologetics” courses.

A Wolf Story

The gray wolf runs
Across the dense forest
Searching for a meal
It detects a strong scent
Perhaps a delectable prey
The wolf goes on the prowl
It’s now running
Every second it gets closer
His heart pounding
Finally it snatches up
The prey between its jaws
A juicy rabbit
It was a good hunt
The wolf returns to its pack
Their shrill howls
Pierce the quiet stillness
Of the forestby Zachary Uram
