Christ the Lord
Christ is the Lord of Lords
We sing a beautiful hymn
For HimChrist is the King of Kings
Him we adore
Repent and believe I imploreChrist is our Redeemer
At Calvary, He paid for our sin
He was our propitiationChrist is the Son of God
Fully God and fully man
He followed God the Father’s planChrist is the Word of God
God’s wrath He bore
He defeated death forever moreChrist is the Son of Man
He went to hell you see
He set the captives freeChrist is the Alpha and Omega
On the third day, He rose
It is sinners that God choseby Zachary Uram

Irene Uram – My Gramma

My dear grandmother
She was unlike any otherShe had painful knees
To God she made pleasHer arthritis hurt a lot
She rubbed on some Icy HotAt bingo she had fun
She trusted in God the SonShe showed her love with food
Gramma cooked regardless of her moodI cherish my memories of her
“See that!” is part of my lexicon so dearWe used to talk by phone every day
Her absence makes me full of dismayI long to kiss her on the cheek
And receive a hug so meekShe had a strong Catholic faith
For most of her life, she had good healthGramma’s Polish food was the best
Better than all the restHow I long to eat her homemade galumpkis
And her pierogisShe loved watching the Pirates play baseball
She cheered at the pitcher’s fastballShe was proud of her Polish ethnicity
Gramma loved polka music decidedlyI miss and love you as much as the stars in the sky
God took you home, I know that but I still cryI will be reunited with Gramma in heaven one day
Until then I’ll reminisce and prayby Zachary Uram

My Feet
Vi rubbed my feet
They can’t be beatShe used tea tree oil
My feet won’t spoilMy feet are fresh and clean
They have a wonderful sheenI have a bad callous on my big toe
Each year it continues to growThe podiatrist will give my toenails a trim
I look good and slimMy feet smell so sweet
With healthiness they are repleteby Zachary Uram

Santa’s Big Night
Santa Claus departs from
The North Pole
He only visits poor families
On the doleIf you look outside
And search the skies so quick
You may see
Jolly St. NickThe elves make toys
Without delay
They toil all night
And all-day
Santa will land
On our roofs
He comes down the chimney
Hear his reindeers’ hoovesOn Christmas morning
Kids will open their gifts
Outside are tall
Snow driftsSanta’s work
Is finally done
Now he can relax
And have some funby Zachary Uram

Jesus Is Lord
I thank God
For His sovereign grace
Christ died
For the human raceDue to Adam’s fall
We fell into sin
But Christ was
A mighty propitiationHe came to earth
One frosty morn
Oh glorious day
When Christ was bornAt Calvary
He took on God’s wrath
Christ bled for us
That was His pathOn the third day
He rose
We celebrate this event
With song and proseJesus made salvation possible
For the sons of earth
The Holy Spirit quickens our soul
This is the new birthLet all creation proclaim
Christ is King
The angels are praising Him
May all of Christendom singby Zachary Uram

A Christmas Sleigh Ride

We’re in a winter wonderland
To God, we make a petition
It’s our
Yuletide traditionMy sister Vi and I
Travel in our sleigh
We’re overjoyed
And very gayWe’re nice and cozy
With a blanket on our laps
We just passed by
Two good chapsOur horses take us
All the way to Gramma’s house
I’m wearing my dress clothes
Vi has on a skirt and blouseAt Gramma’s house
We eat good Christmas food happily
We’re stuffed completely
Baked ham, pierogi, and halushkiWe return back to our abode
In our sleigh
Pulled by our two white horses
We shall be home without delayWe dream in our beds
Of Christmas stories
Snoring away contently
We see gourmet pastriesby Zachary Uram

My Day in The Snow

I awoke
To a landscape of white
It snowed
All day and nightA winter wonderland
Was before my eyes
The snow seemed
To reach the skiesWith my trusty snow shoes
I set out on a trek
I heard a woodpecker
On the oak tree, it did peckBitter cold air
Stung my lung
I felt alive
Caught a snowflake on my tongueThe snow shimmered
Under morning light
It was a dazzling display
Quite the sightA white Christmas
We had this year
I love this season
Of peace and good cheerby Zachary Uram

Feeling Blue
It’s raining today
I am depressed
Full of dismay
I won’t get dressedI feel glum
I’m down in the dumps
I’ll chat with Vi my chum
I’ll have to take my lumpsI hate being blue
I have no energy
Bad thoughts I eschew
I’m full of lethargyI wish to run and play
I’m stuck here in bed
I want to be gay
I’m totally lethargic insteadby Zachary Uram

A Gospel Proclamation
Behold
The King of the Jews
I proclaim the Gospel
It is Good NewsMan was mired in sin
He needed to be reconciled
To an all-holy and all-righteous God
He needed a Savior undefiledChrist was born
Of a virgin so pure
His path
Was sureHe would save mankind
By sovereign grace alone
Of all the people
Only Christ could atoneAt Calvary
He paid the price
Christ was not guilty
Of any viceOn the third day
He rose
Christ was resurrected

Gospel Meditations
We are born into sin
But Christ was
Our propitiationHe was our sinless
Sacrifice
Our Lord so graciousWe have a mighty Redeemer
Christ the Messiah
He sent us the ComforterWe are regenerated
Before we have the gift of faith
Our souls are quickenedWe become a new creation
We are spiritually alive
This is a reason for elationWe must grow in sanctification
Mortifying the flesh each day
We will do it until glorificationby Zachary Uram
