A Mighty Redeemer

I was lost at sea
Drowning
When Christ appeared
Before meHe was walking on water
Christ defied
The laws
Of physics properChrist sought me out
On my own
I could do nothing
This is a reason to shoutGod chose me
Before the foundation
Of the world
To set me freeChrist died for His elect
His precious blood
Made atonement
For those God did selectFaith and repentance
Are gifts from God
Regeneration precedes faith
They are not happenstanceJesus was born
Of a virgin
In a stable
On that cold December mornHe is both
Totally divine
And totally human
I swear it under oathChrist died on the cross
At Calvary
This great sacrifice
It seeme to be an utter lossBut the grave
Could not hold Him
On the third day He was resurrected
By a supernatural energy waveSpread the Good News

I will howl
At the moon
I’m stronger
Than a typhoon
I’m feeling
Rather insane
I have a
Defective brain
I will bray
Like a jackass
Who knows when
This insanity
Will pass
I shall bark
Like a dog
And snort
Like a hogby Zachary Uram

A Plea to Roman Catholics
I’m a
Modern Puritan
It’s the
Reformed religionI am a
Reformed Baptist
I rebuke
Every PapistI affirm
Baptism of believers
Not baptism
Of unbelieversCome out
Of the Romish church
Leave Catholic theology
In the lurchBaptizing a baby
Is of no good effect
It just
Gets them wetIn the Romish church
The true gospel was lost
The Reformers recovered it
At a high costThe Papists trusted
In traditions of men
It was
A theological pigpenThey trusted traditions
Over God’s Word
Obeyed a fallible Magisterium
How absurdWe have the 5 Solas
To guide us
They are
A biblical compassCalvinism keeps
Our understanding straight
It respects God’s Word
And gives it weightShare the gospel
With Papists
They must be born again

Born Again
To be saved
One must be
Born from above
Born by
The Spirit
Ye must be
Born again
Jesus told
Nicodemus
Salvation is
All God
And none man
We do not
Merit
God’s grace
It is wholly
Monergistic
We were
Spiritually dead
The Holy Spirit
Quickens new life
In us
Our heart
Of stone
Is changed
To a heart
Of flesh
Only those
God predestined
To be saved
Will be
God’s children
Through adoption
The Elect are
Chosen by God
According to
His will
Not because
Of any intrinsic
Quality or action
On our part
God commands us
To repent and
Believe
The Gospel
That Christ
The sinless Messiah
Died for our
Sins
On Calvary
He is totally
God
And totally man
He rose
On the
Third day
Repentance
And faith
Are gifts
Faith comes

God’s Wordby Zachary Uram

A Journey Into A Disturbed Mind
Last night
I was rather
Stranged
This morning
I feel quite
Deranged
I am totally
Psychotic
I may seem
Rather neurotic
Alas
My sanity
Did wane
I have
A malfunctioning
Brain
My medications
Are psychoactive
They alter
My perspective
I will soon
Be well
As far as
I can tell
I will be
The picture
Of good
Mental health
I do not
Need wealth
I just need
A sound mind
Oh what a
Treasure it
Would be
To findby Zachary Uram

Beverages
I sip
A glass
Of iced
Green tea
With honey
And ginseng
It makes
My taste buds
Sing
A glass of V-8
Sure is fine
It’s better
Than wine
White grape juice
Is sure
To please
Just give those
Grapes
A good squeeze
A Coke
Is very nice
I prefer it
Served with ice
Don’t forget
Orange juice
I like mine
With some pulp
I’ll drink it down
In a big gulp
I must not
Forget
Lemonade
It’s sure
To please
Give those
Lemons
A good squeezeby Zachary Uram

Bear

A grizzly bear
Is on the prowl
It’s famished
Looking for fish or fowlIt’s hungry
And wants to eat
A very tasty
And succulent treatThe mighty bear
Goes up the mountain
It wants salmon
It needs the proteinThe stream is full
Of huge salmon fish
The bear eats them all
So delishThe bear discovers
A bee hive in a tree
It’s a feast of honey
The bear is happyIt soon lays down
For a long winter’s sleep
It shall hibernate until spring
A slumber so deepby Zachary Uram

My Salvation
I was born again
At age seven
My fate was secure
An eternity in HeavenI was a new creation
Born from above
It was all because
Of Christ’s loveHe is my Redeemer
A Savior so mighty
Christ died for my sins
At CalvaryOn the third day
He rose
It was me
Christ choseThe grave
Couldn’t hold Him
Angels sang
A great hymnBehold
The risen Christ
He was
SacrificedThanks to Christ
I now have salvation
This is due
To His propitiationI shall live eternally
With Christ my King

A Fragmented Mind

I was puffed up
With arrogance and pride
Also self-righteousness
I was rather snideI had a strong intellect
And much education
But I was backslidden
And faced tribulationGod was merciful
He broke me down completely
I lost my once cherished mind
I was the prodigal son certainlyDelusions and hallucinations
Became the norm
But Christ saved me
From that rough mental stormSlowly I regained
My sanity
In Christ
I was totally freeNow I have joy
And peace that will last
I stay anchored
In His Word steadfastI speak to God
In prayer
I tell Him
My every careI still deal
With illness of the mind
But I have a Redeemer
The best that one could findIn my weakess
Christ is strong
In Him I’m more than a conqueror
This is my cherished songby Zachary Uram
