• Mountain Life

    I built a log cabin
    On the right spot
    Before it was too hot

    From the stream
    I caught some fish
    They were very delish

    At night, I built
    A big fire
It was like a funeral pyre

The next day, I shot a rabbit
With my 22 caliber Marlin gun
    Hunting is such fun

    A mighty bald eagle
    Soared above
It reminded me of God’s love

    The seasons changed rapidly
    Soon winter came
I hunted lots of tasty game

    I had plenty
    Of firewood
I was in a good mood

    Spring was finally here
I enjoyed watching the flowers bloom
Reminded me that Christ rose from the tomb

  • Salvation

    In the Garden, man fell
Ever since then, we hear the death knell

    Christ was our perfect sacrifice
For our sins, He paid the price

    The effectual call
    It is not for all

Only God’s Elect shall be saved
That God saves any, we should be amazed

Our sins are imputed to the Lord Jesus
    They are most grievous

    Christ’s perfect righteousness we receive
    Satan can no longer deceive

The Holy Spirit quickens our souls, you see
We receive repentance and faith totally

  • Peace

    Deep peace
    In the thunderstorm for you

    Deep peace
In the sun’s warmth for you

    Deep peace
In the ocean’s depths for you

    Deep peace
In a baby’s smile for you

    Deep peace
In a meal with loved ones for you

    Deep peace
In the summer grass for you

    Deep peace
In a snow blizzard for you

    Deep peace
In the moon and stars for you

    Deep peace
In a friend’s chat for you

    Deep peace
In reading a good book for you

    Deep peace
In the colored leaves of autumn for you

    Deep peace
    In prayer for you

    Deep peace
    In Christ for you

  • Faith

The Lord sent a legion of angels
    To defend me
    Against Satan’s wiles and snares
    He is the enemy

    The angels songs
    Are melodic
    They are also
    Hypnotic

I put on the full armor of God
    Against the Satanic horde
    I battle
    I raise my sword

By the power of the Holy Spirit
I can walk on the stormy sea
    This is possible
    Because Christ redeemed me

Faith the size of a mustard seed
    Can move a mighty mountain
    Of this fact
    I’m certain

  • Deep Peace

    No longer must I roam
I’ll soon be with my Lord
    I’m on my way home

Our time on earth is very brief
    We should live in Christ
Death comes in the night like a thief

I cry for the loved ones I’ve lost
So many souls have passed away
Who can truly fathom the cost

    My dear Daddy passed away
    On Father’s Day, you see
All I can do is pray

I watch the stars and the moon
    For hours all night long
I hope it’s not my time soon

We who are in Christ have the guarantee
    After we die
We shall be present with the Lord immediately

I feel bad that my loved ones will grieve
But we don’t mourn like the world
We have a blessed hope before we leave

I weep for my loved ones who’ve gone to glory
    I cherish memories of them
They will always be a part of my story

  • Judgement

    Listen to my tragic refrain
    The nukes shall fall
    Like a spring rain
    America is doomed

    All is destroyed and lost
    Every major city vaporized
    In the nuclear holocaust
    The Whore of Babylon falls

The US has run out of time
    God’s judgment shall fall
    It shall be sublime
There will be nowhere to hide

    Over 70 million babies gone
    Murdered by their mothers
    The blood of the unborn
Cries out to God for justice

  • A Panoply of Emotions

    I was in a rage
    I defeated the Satanic mage

    I was feeling depressed
But I thank God I’m blessed

I was down in the dumps
    Mental illness isn’t for chumps

    I will belch and fart
    As I shop in Walmart

    I have a keen mind
There are many mysteries I find

    I am sometimes quite angry
    I will not marry

    I fight demons every day
    Them I shall slay

  • Musings On A Hot Summer Day

    I walk the streets
    Full of sin and degeneracy
    Oh, how it disgusts me

    The vast majority of people
    Will end up in Hell
    This I can tell

    The world is full
    Of lusts and vice
    It sure isn’t nice

    We must spread the Gospel
    Both near and far
Travel by plane, train, and car

    Faith comes by hearing
We need to preach Christ alone
He is the one who did atone

    We are justified
    By faith alone
Our sin, God can not condone

    The Holy Spirit
    Quickens our soul
We are regenerated and made whole

    Regeneration precedes faith
    We are conditioned to believe
    God, we can not deceive

  • I Love and Miss You, Daddy

    I’m trapped
    In an ocean of sorrow
    I pray and hope for
    A better tomorrow

    I am pounded
    By waves of grief
    I wonder if
    I’ll never get relief

    Precious memories
    Of my father, I cherish
    I asked for prayers
    At my parish

    My days are spent
    In tears
    I have many
    Hopes and fears

    My bereavement could last
For the rest of my years
    I have no mindset
    For merriment and cheers

    I know God is faithful
    I trust in Christ alone
    It’s been so many days
    Since the sun shone

    Dearest Daddy
    I know you’re happy
    In heaven with the Lord
    That comforts me

  • Thankful to God for Creation

    I fly
    Like an eagle
    I soar
    High above
    The mountains
    I feel free
    The cold air
    Makes me feel
    Alive
    I run
    Like a deer
    Over the lush
    Green verdant
    Grass
    I jump
    Like a
    Rabbit
    I swim
    Like a fish
    Going around
    A beautiful
    Stream
    I bray
    Like a donkey
    Galloping
    Around the field
    I buzz around
    Like a bee
    A climb
    Up a tall tree
    Like a grizzly
    Bear
    I get some
    Fresh honey
    Finally
    I walk home
    Thankful to God
    For His amazing
    Nature
