Out of the darkness
Into the light
For years I toiled
I tried with all my might
But salvation is a free gift
It cannot be earned
This was a hard lesson
I had learned
God’s grace
Set me free
Through faith alone
No longer am I a man of misery
Christ died
On Calvary
It was a propitiation
He died for the elect you see
On the third day
The tomb was empty
The Lord had risen
Defeating sin, death, and Satan completely
Christ, the spotless Lamb
Took on all our sin
His perfect righteousness we receive
The Holy Spirit quickens us within
We are all sinners
So repent and believe the Gospel today
You will become a new creation
Do it without delay
