Christmas Eve

Now is the time
For jubilation
Let Christmas mirth
Spread across the nation

‘Tis Christmas Eve
The night before
Our Savior’s birth
Be steeped in Christmas lore

Over two millennia ago
Christ our Savior was born
He came into the world
On a cold winter morn

God with us
Oh silent night
Christ gave
The blind sight

He was born
Of the Virgin Mary
His conception was immaculate
Ring the bells in the abbey

Angels heralded
Christ’s incarnation
He would die for us
As a propitiation

May your Christmas
Be full of good cheer
Praise and worship Jesus
All around the year
