The Storm

It’s a lazy day
I am feeling
Mostly okay

I hear
The thunderstorm
No need for fear

The rain
Makes lovely percussion
It makes me feel sane

Suddenly
A loud crack of thunder
What strong energy

The wind howls loud
Our windows rattle
I spot a big black cloud

Lightning sizzles
Such ferocity
The rain now drizzles

God’s creation
Is so wondrous
It sends me to elation
