The majestic bald eagle
Takes flight
The sun is
Shining bright
He’s searching
For a prey
He must feed
His children today
His sharp eyes
Spot a tasty hare
Emerging from
Its lair
It prepares
For the kill
Oh what
A thrill
The eagle swoops down
Just above the ground
Its talons catch the prey
Oh what a bounty it found
He flies back
To his nest
Killing is what
He does best
Hungry little mouths
Need fed
And then his children
Will go to bed
