Man stood condemned
No hope was found
We’d die and go to Hell
Guilty of sin
Our bodies in the ground
But everything changed
When Jesus was born
The Messiah came to save us
Born to Mary a humble virgin
On that cold Christmas morn
God predestined for salvation
A number of Elect
Sovereign grace would save us
Chosen before the world’s foundation
In Christ we stand before God perfect
Christ was born to die
He was tortured
And suffered immense pain
And hung on the cross
For 6 hours He labored
Then Christ gave up His spirit
The spotless Lamb died for our sin
He bore God’s full wrath
Even though He had no sin Himself
Christ was a propitiation
But death could not hold Him
On the third day Christ rose
Trampling down sin and death
And the power of Satan
It is mankind God chose
Salvation is the work of God
He alone chooses man
The Holy Spirit quickens our dead hearts
Imparts repentance and faith
According to His plan
