My Siberian Husky team
Pulls me on a sled
We are deep into
A pristine pine forest
The sacred silence
Makes me feel at peace
The glory of creation
God’s handiwork on display
We make camp
Under a huge pine tree
Its mighty branches
Provide a canopy
The snow is dense
At least a meter of depth
I build a snow igloo
And light a fire within
The sky is magnificent
Millions of shining stars
I am in awe of God’s creation
I fall into a deep sleep
Dawn is here
We pack up and head for home
It’s a glorious bright morning
The sun shines down on us
In 12 hours we’ll be home
I thank God
For this time in nature
I feel energized and calm
