Totally Depleted

I am totally lethargic
I feel like a slug
I feel as if someone
Slipped me a drug

I have no energy
I have extreme fatigue
Something is wrong
With my physique

Chronic fatigue syndrome
Is a cross I bear
It’s a heavy burden
Sometimes I despair

Most days
Getting out of bed
Is a huge struggle
It’s hard to raise my head

I’m feeling
Rather blue
Negative thoughts
I try to eschew

I lay in bed all day
Like a beached whale
