A Day Spent Fishing

I arrive
At a clear blue stream
It is like
A dream

The water
Is so fresh
Lots of fish abound
They will taste delish

I set my lure
And cast my line
Fishing makes me
Feel just fine

A rainbow trout
I’ve reeled in
It will be tasty
From head to fin

A fire is soon made
I roast the trout
With herbs and butter
The taste makes me shout

Heading home
I reflect on the day
Fishing was relaxing
There will be many more I pray

  1. I tried fishing once. The can of bait I knocked over. I sat on a log and it collapsed! I got mud all over my shorts and legs. I threw the fishing pole back to cast a line and it got caught in a tree branch! I almost lost the pole! I don’t think I’ll try going fishing again any time soon!
