To the soldiers
Of Vietnam
I wish you
A sincere salaam
You bravely fought
The NVA and VC too
Yet when you came home
Many people eschewed you
You battled
In humid jungles far away
Why did the war happen
I cannot say
Over 50,000 of you
Died in combat
These Americans sacrificed their lives
Yet, not a single diplomat
These gallant boys
Were still teens
Instead of having fun
They reloaded M-16 magazines
When they came home
Many were treated bad
Oh the humanity
This makes me truly sad
We should never forget
Those who served so far from home
In Vietnam today
Their spirits still roam

Let us pray for the brave soldiers who fought in such an awful war! They showed great courage and determination! I pray for all of them. May God be with them!
