We give God thanks
Not for stocks or banks
We give God thanks for our home
Pray for the homeless who roam
We give God thanks for our health
It’s more important than wealth
We give God thanks for Christ the Lord
He is the living Word
We give God thanks for having enough food
Cooked on a stove fueled by wood
We give God thanks for our family
Their love is heavenly
We give God thanks for Calvary
Christ died to set men free
We give God thanks for our salvation
And we weep for those facing damnation
We give God thanks for laughter and fun
And for our children
We thank God for trials and affliction
They are necessary for our sanctification

I like this poem! It reminds us of our many blessings! Sometimes, we tend to forget about what we have that is special. God gives everyone who believes in Him love and kindness. We should remember that always, not just at thanksgiving but throughout the year!
