Mortification

If we truly love God
We’ll keep His commandments
And we’ll follow all of His Word

Our flesh we must mortify
By denying our sinful ways
Our souls we must sanctify

Living by the Spirit always
It’s God’s power in us
Christ the Living Waters

It is the Lord who sanctifies us
It’s a monergistic work
As we walk in obedience

We must run the race
Sometimes we stumble
We get back up by God’s grace
