Native Americans

I lost my heart
At Wounded Knee
On the Trail of Tears
This is a sad history

The Native Americans
Suffered greatly
Their mistreatment
Was a painful tragedy

They worshipped God
The Great Spirit
In the sky
Their abuse was illicit

This noble people
Hunted the buffalo
They smoked
Tobacco

Now Native Americans
Live on reservations
Far removed from ancestors
They face deprivations
