It has stood
The test of time
Sacred cantatas
Passions
Sonatas
Concertos
Fugues and Preludes
For harpsichord
And pipe organ
He had
Over 20 children
But sadly many died
In infancy
Still, Bach had joy
In the Lord Jesus
He wrote his music
For God’s glory
And he asked for
Jesus’ help
On his compositions
His music
Had complex precision
Bach was a master
Of counterpoint
And harmony
He wrote for
Multiple voices
His works for cello
Are deeply moving
As is his
Well Tempered Clavier
In his day
He was an organ virtuoso
Able to improvise
On the spot
Better than anyone
Had ever heard
Bach’s music
Is truly
Transcendent
And heavenly
