Gunslinger

It’s high noon
The sun is
Blazing
It’s reflecting
Off of the
Sherif’spistol
A six-shooter
He slowly walks
To the center
Of town
There he stood
Beads of
Perspiration
Streamed down
His
Weather worn
Face
Suddenly
Two desperados
Came out
Of the saloon
They walk out
To the middle
Of the dusty
Street
Directly
Opposing
The sheriff
A showdown
Has begun
Their fingers
Twitch
As they reach
For their
Pistols
Time seems to
Stand still
The sheriff
Shoots first
He was
A fraction
Of a second
Faster
The two
Desperados
Collapse
To the ground
Each with a
Bullet
In their
Hearts
Such is life
In the
Wild West
