Rugged Life

I built
A log cabin
In the
Rocky Mountains
The first
Winter there
We had
A blizzard
It dropped
Ten feet
Of snow
I exited
My home
With
Snowshoes on
I had my
22 caliber
Marlin rifle
I shot
A plump rabbit
It made
A nice stew
Inside my home
I had a
Pot belly stove
It kept
The temperative
Inside
Nice and warm
I sipped
A cup
Of herbal tea
And read a
Good book
I fell asleep
And dreamed
Of Christmas
