My dear father
Passed away today
I am heartbroken
In every single way
He was a loving Daddy
And a brilliant man
He was gifted in mathematics
He always followed God’s plan
He died this morning at 6:40AM
With a smile on his face
He was touched
By God’sovereign grace
I know for those in Christ
Death is merely the entrance
Into an eternity with Christ
In a heavenly expanse
We will be reunited
On that happy day
When we’re all together
And have much to say
I am thankful to God
For giving us, Daddy
He was an amazing father
He loved his country
Daddy was a man of God
He taught us about Jesus
Bought me my first Bible
And shared the Gospel, most precious
For many years, we chatted
With Daddy every day
How I long to hear his voice again
For now, we shall pray
I have shed many tears today
But we mourn not like the lost
We have a blessed hope
We’ll persevere no matter the cost
My dear, precious Daddy
Now that you’re gone, life is much poorer
But I will never forget you
You are praising Jesus, and I’m now a mourner
