The Emerald Isle

I set sail
For a distant land
I guided the boat
With my hand

I landed in
The Emerald Isle
I walked
For a mile

I came across
A huge rainbow
It reminded me of
The love God did bestow

I saw a Celtic cross
It was carved from stone
The light of Christ
Had shone

I spied a wee leprechaun
It had a pot of gold
He was
Very old

I walked barefoot
In the lush green grass
I dreamt of
A beautiful Irish lass

I sailed back home
I had many happy memories
Of Ireland
It was the stuff of fantasies

  1. I hope one day we could go on a trip to Ireland! It would be very nice to see and experience! We could have corned beef and cabbage and colcannon and shepherds pie! And we could travel all over the country to see wonderful places and see Celtic crosses and the beautiful countryside! And look at the ocean from the hillsides!
