Melancholy

I am depressed, you see
I have such misery

I lack motivation
I don’t have elation

I have a broken mind
Healing, I must find

I long to be whole
I’m on the dole

I often feel sad
And sometimes I’m mad

I take medication
It helps my situation

Mental illness is tough
My mind’s state is rough
