Christmas Cheer

It was a cold winter’s day
I wanted snow without delay

It was dawn on Christmas Eve
In Christ my Savior, I do believe

Christmas is a special time of year
We celebrate Christ’s birth so dear

It began to snow heavily
The pure white snow was heavenly

I saw the colorful lights on display
Christmas is a very special day

Baby Jesus lay in a manger
He was in danger

King Herod wanted Christ dead
To Egypt, the holy family fled

Let’s celebrate His birth
Jesus gives men a second birth

That is the true reason
For the Christmas season
