Gospel Truth

By God, we are chosen
We, His children, are born from above
Our hearts are no longer frozen
We are saved because of God’s love

At Calvary, Christ hung
On a wooden cross
His praises will be forever sung
Christ’s death seemed a great loss

He receives all power and glory
Christ is the eternal Logos
The Bible is His story
At the foot of the cross grew moss

On the third day, Christ rose
He broke the power of sin
His victory is written in much prose
Christ was our propitiation

Jesus said we must be born again
God gifts His elect faith and repentance
Once regenerated, we have victory over sin
Sin becomes a repugnance

We are chosen by God
He allows trials for our good
He won’t spare the rod
We will behave as we should
