Mountain Life

My big sister
Vi and I
Went to
The mountains
In springtime
We swam
In a
Crystal clear
Lake
We built
A log cabin
Our garden
Was overflowing
With vegetables
We fed
The deer
And the bears
We went hiking
In the mountains
For the long
Cold winter
I chopped
Plenty of
Firewood
After the first
Big snow
We put on
Our snowshoes
And hunted
Rabbits
Later Vi cooked
A delicious
Rabbit stew
We had
Bird feeders
We watched
Hummingbirds
Hovering
We read
Many books
Vi made me
Coffee
Every morning
She cooked up
Bacon and eggs
We had livestock
Pigs, lambs, goats
Cows and chickens
Finally winter
Was over
We celebrated
The arrival
Of springtime
