My dear Daddy
Is deceased, you see
Now he’s with Christ for eternity
Daddy had faith in Christ alone
He was a true believer
He fought Satan, the great deceiver
The pain of his loss
Is still raw
My mind needs to thaw
The hurt in me
Runs very deep
I often weep
During his last few months
He couldn’t use his hands at all
Every day I took his call
I cherish
The good memories of Daddy
I am suffering badly
One day I know
We shall be reunited
It gets me very excited
I love you, Daddy
You finished the race well
In heaven you dwell

I was surprised reading this poem because that’s how I feel too. I miss my Dad! He’s in heaven now, watching over us. Dad dying is a new beginning for him. It’s the end of one journey and the start of a new one. Dad knew how much his three kids loved him, I know that!! Until we meet again, my dear Dad!
