A Christmas to Remember

Outside
Is a winter wonderland
In the falling snow, I stand

On telephone poles
Hang angels
And bells

I see couples
Taking a sleigh ride
The roads were wide

I stood
Under mistletoe
A kiss, a beauty did bestow

I saw children
Making a snowman
It was finished per the plan

At home
We trimmed the Christmas tree
The colored lights made me happy

A mountain of
Wrapped gifts I beheld
Santa Claus, I extolled

He landed on our roof
With his sleigh
Reindeer pulled it this day

Children skated
On a frozen pond
Winter coats, they donned

Vi and I sat in the dark
The room is illuminated, you see
By the colored lights of our tree

We felt happy and at peace
In our nativity scene
This Christmas has been keen

My two sisters and I
Soon went to bed
Dreams of Christmas were in each head
