Immanuel

Jesus came
To earth
So man could have
The second birth

He came
From above
Because of
Jesus’ love

The image of God
Was lost in the Fall
It is restored
After the effectual call

Jesus took on human flesh
He incarnated as the God Man
Fully divine and fully man
It was according to God’s plan

God’s love for man
It is so pure and true
When Jesus saves us
There’s no sin He will eschew

At Calvary
Jesus paid the ultimate price
All our sins were imputed to Him
Jesus took on every vice

Once regenerated, all our sins
Are completely forgiven
Past, present, and future
To us, God’s mercy is given
