A Christmas Eve Poem

The Virgin Mary
Held her newborn Son
Jesus the Savior
No room at the inn

In a manger
The Infant Jesus lay
The animals beheld
His majesty

Jesus is fully Man
And fully Divine
His first miracle
Turned water into wine

Jesus has never
Forsaken me
From sin
He set me free

Jesus died
On the cross
He gave up His Spirit
It was a great loss

On the third day, Jesus rose
Death could not hold Him
He resurrected instantly
This was not done on a whim

Jesus has power
Over death and sin
He was a powerful
Propitiation

When we are born again
Following repentance and belief
Jesus mediates salvation
Even for the good thief

If you wish to be saved
You must believe in Christ alone
And repent sincerely
It is for man that He did atone

Spread the gospel
Both near and far
It is life to those in darkness
Behold the Christmas star
