Some people are foaming at the mouth over the new iPad. I hate to rain on their parade, but…
I can get the same functionality for 1/2 the price. And furthermore:

* The iPad isn’t a real widescreen (16×9)
* Doesn’t have a USB port [yet]
* Can’t multi-task
* Has no camera
* Doesn’t support e-ink
* Doesn’t have a slot card
* Doesn’t have a GPS
* Closed source OS
* And finally – no Adobe Flash
But it does have touch screen. All these people will shell out $600 for a touch screen? Not me. Don’t drink the Kool-Aid kiddies 🙂

How can you get the same functionality for half the price?I am planning to buy a Viliv S5. I don't want some locked device that Jobs dictates how I can use.

It is just an oversized iTouch with a big ugly black frame. So cheezy looking that it almost seems like a knock-off from China. It would have been 10x better looking if they had used clear hard plastic for the frame. No multi-tasking? Are you kidding me? FAILED.
