Death of Death

Because of
Christ’s love
The Elect are
Born from above

He is the Good Shepherd
Who tends to us, His sheep
Christ’s love for us
Is so very deep

He is the Logos
The Word of God alive
We must trust in Christ
Not by our efforts to survive

Jesus incarnated as
A helpless baby
The Virgin Mary birthed Him
She was a righteous lady

Jesus suffered and died
For the Elect at Calvary
He gave up His spirit and bore
All our sins, it’s a mystery

Followers of Jesus
At His death, they dispaired
Even the Apostles were distraught
They thought that was His ending

His divinity was proven
When He resurrected on Sunday morn
Jesus defeated death, sin, and Satan
Jesus saw the Apostles and ascended to Heaven

He promised to return
To the Earth someday
This Second Coming shall be
For the Elect, such a happy day

So spread the Gospel
Across the Earth
If you repent and believe
You’ll receive the second birth

We’ll spend eternity with God
On the New Earth and New Heaven
We shall praise the Lamb of God
Rejoice my brethren
