So Pity

I suffer from
A mind that’s psychosomatic
It manifests as insomnia
I am mentally sick

I have in my brain
Chemical imbalances you see
The neurotransmitters are causing
Mental disorders for me

I have been mentally ill
For over three score
Delusions and psychosis
I sure do abhor

I also have
Major depression
I am lethargic
In every season

I have bad general anxiety
And anxiety that’s social indeed
From these mental maladies
They make me very worried

I take 22 medications
Every single way
I long to be fully healed
And very gay

When I arrive in Heaven
My mind will be whole
Not a single illness
God’s love I do extol
