Born From Above

I was utterly lost
In spiritual death
One day, the Holy Spirit
Released His breath

In an instant
I was a new creation
Saved by sovereign grace
Thanks to Jesus’ propitiation

Jesus the Logos
Condescended as an infant born
He came on a cold December night
In the early morn

I thank the Lord
For His incarnation
Because Jesus died for our sins
We can receive salvation

Being born again
Is the greatest miracle of all
It happens when God chooses us
And we receive the effectual call

Saved by sovereign grace
Through faith alone
We were redeemed
Because Christ did atone

Spread the Good News
Both far and near
Man must repent
Believe the Gospel you hear
