God had chosen me
To be His child
Before the Earth’s
Creation
Thus His Elect
Were selected
Not according
To any inherent
Characteristic
Belief
Or qualities
Or works
It is a mystery
Only God knows
On what basis
We were chosen
Before the
Effectual call
Before
The Holy Spirit
Quickened our souls
And we were
Regenerated
Passing from
Spiritual death
To life
God’s sovereign
Grace
Is irresistible
To mankind
We are, in fact
Saved by
God’s grace
Through faith
In Christ
The natural man
Is Satan’s child
I was a total
Depraved
Wretched sinner
On my own
I could do nothing
My sin nature
Poisoned everything
Within me
I thank the Lord
For saving me
Make sure you
Sincerely repent
And believe
The Gospel
Salvation of man
Is totally
Monergistic
It is God alone
Who orchestrates
Our salvation
We are passive
He is in supreme
Control
The only thing
We bring
Is our sin
