When I’m in nature
I feel at peace and calm
In my mind
It’s a soothing balm
Above, I see mighty trees
Many a Maple and Oak
Spending time here
Is no joke
The air is fresh
Below, I see many ants
I have to be careful so that
They don’t crawl up my pants
I hear falcons and robins
Making sweet music above me
I even heard a crow
It went caw caw so amusingly
I love the lush green grass
And the clear blue sky
I should be outside
Every single day
Before me, a toad leaps
Off the ground
A bunny scurries away
Without making a sound
Venturing further into the park
I spot a placid lake
Geese and ducks swim past me
I’d like to join them and partake
