A Day in Nature

I fished in a nearby stream
I caught a rainbow trout
It felt like a dream
It was a good day out

I find peace in nature
I love the warm springtime
A nice cool breeze brings pleasure
This time of year is truly sublime

I went hiking in Hays Wood
It was so peaceful and serene
I saw mighty oaks where they stood
I made sure to wear sunscreen

I saw a mother black bear
With three small cubs nearby
I did not have any fear
I gazed at the clear blue sky

Walking further, I spied
A Peregrine Falcon above
It was doing a glide
Next, I spotted a white dove

I made the trek back home
Spending a day in nature was the best
No longer did I need to roam
I lay down and had a nice rest

God’s creation testifies
To His existence, you see
Evidence abounds to analyze
Christ alone sets us free
