Grizzly Bear

I do not despair
I’m thriving in Alaska
I’m a mighty grizzly bear

The salmon jump up the stream to mate
With a swipe of my mighty paw
The fish will soon be on my plate

I like to hibernate all winter long
I’m comfortable and cozy in my den
When I wake up in spring, I’ll sing a song

I’m an apex predator, you see
My only danger is from mankind
I can outswim, climb, and run anybody

I love running exuberantly
Through fields of golden clover
I relish the trees and greenery

I love to eat honey, so sweet
I get stung a bunch of times
But it’s worth it for this treat
