Food and Finances

It’s the end of the month
Our funds are low
Get me a ribeye steak
On my waistline, it will show

We must pinch our pennies
And save every dime
We’ll buy milk and cereal
Eating yummy food is sublime

We may not have a lot
With the Lord, we’ll find a way
His mercy is new every morning
We cook at home every day

We’ll have egg salad sandwiches
And tasty cans of soup, nice and hot
We’ll make pitchers of sun tea
If it’s delectable, we’ll want a lot

We love drinking ice-cold water
So pure and fresh it makes us gay
The colder the better it is
We love it every single way

We make homemade soup
French onion and wedding soup too
We are frugal and budget our food
There’s nothing delicious that we eschew
