I’ve been severely depressed
All day long
Mental illness is worse than I guessed
I listen to many a song
I feel totally lethargic, you see
It’s a hard war
I long to be free
I wish to be sane forevermore
I need healing for my broken mind
I struggle night and day
Sanity, I must find
I need it without delay
I’m full of lethargy
I lay in bed like a beached whale
I have very little energy
This is my sad tale
I have hope
That one day I’ll be healed
Until then, I’ll have to cope
At that time, all will be revealed
