Listen to my sad refrain
Due to chemical imbalances, I’m insane
I have to take my lumps
I feel down in the dumps
Major depression is no joke
I’m a fatigued bloke
My days are troubled and full of pain
It’s because I have a defective brain
I also fight schizophrenia, you see
I hear voices and hallucinate regularly
I yearn to laugh and play
I pray it will happen someday
I take 7 medications psychiatric
Each is a powerful psychotropic
I struggle, but in Christ I am strong
God will save His children and right every wrong
