“Unmerited Favor”
I walk by faith
Not by sight
I do spiritual warfare
I fight the blight
As a sinner
I was lost
Christ redeemed me
At a great cost
As believers
The Holy Spirit indwells us
We cannot be possessed
We are quite pious
I thank God for sovereign grace
I was saved when I was seven
All my sins were washed away
I will one day be in Heaven
Those who study Scripture
Can know we are regenerate
We’ll persevere because
God did predestinate
Those who are saved
Will sin less over time
Our sanctification
Is monergistic and so sublime
The gospel is precious
It’s life to the spiritually dead
We must propagate it every day
On Scripture we must be fed
