My Winter Sojourn

I took flight
On a cold winter’s night

I felt free
The ground was below me

I visited a mountaintop
And sipped a bottle of pop

At the zenith I did meditation
I could see in every direction

I admired the splendid beauty
God’s creation impressed me sincerely

A noble bald eagle flew above
I was reminded of God’s love

Near a crystal-clear stream
I slept and had a nice dream

It snowed all day long
I sang an Enya song

In a few hours I was back home
This is the end of my poem
